Pumpkins, maths and lots of cake- what a day!

Today we’ve had a big maths day, a school council meeting, a house point celebration film (well done Green house!) a celebration of attendance, an associate governors meeting and a very lucky cake winner!

Here are some photos of our day…

Megan in year 1 won the raffled Halloween cake, well done Megan! £85 raised for FROGs, woohoo!

These children won vouchers for being above 98% attendance this term.

We also had a fab day of maths learning across the school, with a real push on learning our times tables in different ways. We learnt songs, wrote raps, collected natural objects and shared our learning using IT.

So what are you going to do next week?

Well, Filwood have some great activities on offer at their library.

The craft workshops are free, drop in, no need to pre book and under eights must be with an adult

They have also offered to print up to 10 sheets of colour per child per day if you’d like to send them up there for homework or research for topics.

Speaking of topics, your new maps came home today -please stick them to your fridge with your new Greenfield magnet:

And finally here is our homegrown Greenfield pumpkin-

As decorated by early years today.

With such a lot going on in one day we are going to really appreciate a break tomorrow. If, and when the children do get bored though, point them in the direction of homework and Mathletics, and do some early reading to add to those reward sheets!

Have an amazing holiday!

See you on TUESDAY 3RD NOVEMBER at 8:45,
