Half term has been a busy week!

Well what a week we’ve had here at school!

While you’ve been resting those braincells and recovering from a manic term of camps, SATs and lots of hard work, we’ve been busy working on the school environment.

Many of you commented in your parent questionnaires that you’d like us to do more with our space, I’m pleased we agree on this.

In September I am delighted to tell you that we will have a *BRAND SPANKING NEW ART STUDIO* and *PARENT CHILL OUT ZONE* which are two things the children said they wanted us all to have access to.

Have a look at the plans below. Work started this week when the sinks were installed. The room is the one that links to the hall-the one we walk through sometimes to get into assembly. We won’t be able to use it this term as it is being transformed!

In other news this week… I have enjoyed taking care of the ducks that hatched in reception last term, though as you can see from the photo, keeping them away from my cat has been a challenge! We wanted to keep them as long as possible and I’m grateful to Mr Palmer for keeping an eye on them at the end of this week for us.

On Monday we will announce our Shaun the Sheep design competition winner and we will be talking to the children about all the exciting things happening next term: Sport’s Day, Year six Camp, Our Malago Music Extravaganza at St Mary Redcliffe church, poetry competitions, Science WOW day, the summer fair, moving up week and much more!

Looking forward to it!

If any of you would like to stay for our assembly then please do so, you’d be very welcome. Just come to reception and Miss Coles will show you a seat to wait for us to register before starting at 9:15ish.

See you on Monday,

Miss Richardson
